changing university

I got my visa for entering to University of Alberta. Now i got acceptance letter from University of Waterloo also yesterday. I read that we just have to update information in CIC account. But the thing is Alberta starts Sep 2016 and Waterloo Jan 2017. Is this gap allowed?

Ya it's allowed for deference u have to give valid reason when u enter canada for first time.
