Changing University in Canada

Hi, anyone with experience of changing Universities in Canada? What happens to the current Student Permit in this case, and how many months gap is permitted as per Immigration Law for changing a University?

You need to keep the gap under 90 days to make sure your study permit remains valid. You cannot work during the gap.

Also, if we want to leave Canada ... can we formally get our Visa cancelled on the Passport?
