My fiance's study permit expires at the end of march. We are waiting for her post graduate work permit, the application should go through in a day or two, and should be processed 86 days later, or just after the study permit expires.
If we apply to change her status to visitor 30 days before the end of march, is it possible the pgwp could be granted and then overridden by visitor status? Losing pgwp days after it's approved?
I don't know how it works.
If the pgwp was rejected she would need visitor status to apply for permanent residency spousal sponsorship depending on how we approach it, unless we apply for inland spousal sponsorship during restoration period... Correct?
It's very confusing and any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
