Hi All,

I just wanted to ask a quick question. I landed last saturday and my work permit is no longer valid as I am a permanent resident now.
How about my SIN ? I haven't had a chance to go to Service Canada yet so I haven't got a new SIN yet (planning to do so next monday). Are there any issues with me still working even though I haven't updated SIN??

there's supposedly a 30 day grace period, but you should update your SIN asap. And let the bank know about your new status, and also health insurance!

There's no any problem but at this point, you being employed by the company so they need to update new sin in order to do payroll for you. My suggestion is try to change new sin as soon as posible if you still working.
