Hi,
I have received CoPR last week. My current SIN number start with 9XX series, I and spouse have this SIN and my Kid does not have SIN. I think I have to convert this temporary SIN to permanent. Any one guide me on this.
I tried online link " https://sin-nas.canada.ca/en/Sin/". In type I see several options, First SIN, Update or correction to SIN record, confirmation of SIN, Legal change of Name, change of status, change of the expiry date, other.
Which option should I take ?
Also for Kids under, do they need SIN number regardless of their age ?
If I want to visit Service Canda for this, do you think they will attend me. ( I see that we have to fill a form online then they call etc).
Thanks

Hello,
Use change of status option to get the permanent SIN.

Hi, I am in the same situation - Did you figure out what exactly you did for yourself, kid and spouse? Did you do it online?
Can you please let me know.

I attended ServiceCanada and got the permanent SIN in few minutes. Get an appointment and visit them if you want the SIN with not much waiting
