Changing from PGWP to visitor status

Hello good folks,

I am kind of in a hurdle and would appreciate if y’all have any insights.

I am an eligible CEC candidate with an existing EE profile. However, my PGWP is expiring on the 15th of December next month and we know currently IRCC is not holding any new draws under this class.
Hence, I have decided to change my status to a visitor, however, I have the following concerns:

1. The moment I apply for my visitor pass, does my current PGWP invalidate? In other words, would I still be eligible to work till the 15th of December or I have to stop right away?
2. Once I switch to a visitor status and when I eventually get the invite, will I be able to apply for a BOWP?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hey Sunny, thanks for your response. Could you please redirect me to the new criteria for BOWP that allows visitor permit holders who once held PGWP to apply for a BOWP? It would be really helpful to understand the new conditions so that I have a better understanding of my next steps.
