Changing DLI and break

My new DLI which is college is starting in September 2023. And currently I am studying in University and this term will end in 2023 April. And after that we have schedule summer break from May till August ending.
I want to Know Can I legally Work in this break and then change dli and start studying in September in new program. Because both time I am fully enrolled and even in summer Break i will take 1 part time course. but second rule of Schedule break is that I cant work in a break that comes before very first school semester.
Can anyone guide on this please.

Hi, did you ever find out about your question? My friend is in a similar situation and wanted to confirm if they can work in the summer months before they change their DLI and start their new college
