Hello,
I see we don't need any changes to our study permit if we are changing course...

only thing we need to notify cic using mycic, is that correct?

I wanted to ask if procedure is same even for changing course from post secondary to post degree(post graduate course)??

Please do let me know , I am very worried about it :-X

Hi
This is what it says

"Changing institution at the post-secondary level

If you applied for a study permit to attend a post-secondary institution after June 1, 2014, you must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) via your MyCIC account every time you change institutions. You are not required to apply for a new study permit when changing institutions that are at the same level of study (e.g., from a college to a university).

For example, you must notify CIC if you submit a letter of acceptance from the University of Ottawa when you apply for your study permit but then transfer to Carleton University once you arrive in Canada.

You are not required to notify CIC when you change institution if:

you applied for a study permit prior to June 1, 2014;
you were issued a study permit to attend an institution at the primary or secondary level; or
you obtained a study permit as the family member of a study or work permit holder (i.e., you were not required to submit a letter of acceptance when applying for a study permit).
Get step-by-step instructions on how to notify CIC that you have changed DLI’s using your MyCIC account."

You are not required to apply for a new study permit when changing institutions that are at the same level of study (e.g., from a college to a university).
^^This is exactly what I am worried about...
It jsut says we dont need to apply for new study permit if its the same level of study(it means post secondary to post scondary right?...doesnt say anything for different level of study...from post-secondary to post graduate course..

Someome pls help :'(

U dont need a new study permit if ur changing level of study

"Post-secondary student

You may change your school, program, field of study or level of study (e.g. from the Bachelor level to the Masters level) without applying for a new study permit. You do not need to apply for a change to the condition of your study permit, either. You may continue to use your study permit as long as it is valid."

Hi,
on top of that page it says

'New rules for prospective international students are now in effect (as of June 1, 2014).
Read about these changes and how they may impact you.'

Do you think its an expired answer?

Especially considering on the link I posted above, it does say we need to notify CIC online if we change institutions?
