If you withdrew in November that is unlikely to be counted as changing schools after attending a semester at another school. You should clarify with a lawyer but I believe you will need a new study permit given that you won’t have a record of attending the first school for a semester it will say that you withdrew. Very unusual to be able to withdraw so late in the semester.

I’m confused you are both saying you withdrew from the program but you are also saying you failed one course. You can’t withdraw from the program and fail at the same time.

Hello everyone,
I came in Canada in september 2022 as an International Student in 1 year program then i changed program within same college in jan 2023 by withdrewing from the program that i started in sep 2022 so college published a transcript that is showing the grades of program that i started in sep 2022 as well as the grades of current program. i am worried because i failed all the 9 subjects in the 1st sem of program that i started in sep 2022 but good thing is that i am passing current programs all subjects. will my PGWP be rejected on the behalf of program from which i withdrew?
PGWP eligibility in Canada is generally based on the program you completed, rather than the program from which you withdrew. Since you changed your program within the same college and are currently passing all subjects in the new program, your eligibility for a PGWP would be based on the successful completion of the current program. The fact that they published your academic performance for another program may be a formality or a mistake, so it is better to contact the people who are responsible for this

no no thats not a mistake. college authorities told me that we have a system and we cannot hide anything from our records and transcripts but I think that the completion letter that i will recieve will be based on my current program and will not demonstrate the failure of program that i left in mid of 1st sem. thanks for motivational reply.

You seem to be saying that you failed but also withdrew mid first semester. You can only switch programs without a new study permit if you completed one semester at the other program.

The main reason for withdrawing from that program was poor performance in the courses of GIS program I withdrew on Nov 10, 2022 but transcript is showing fail in one subject because that subject was completed on 21 oct that was of shorter duration but rest of subjects were going to end on Dec 15, 2022. i took social service worker in fleming college (same college) in next Jan 2023 Intake and currently i am in last semester of that program. will i face PGWP rejection ?

That will affect your PGWP eligibility. Simply put you are in violation with one of the terms of your study permit. See below;

However, to assess if a student who has changed institutions or programs of study a number of times should be considered to be actively pursuing their studies, the officer should consider the student’s reasons for the changes. In cases where multiple program or institutional changes do not appear to support the expectation that the student is making reasonable progress toward the completion of a Canadian credential, the officer may determine that the study permit holder has not fulfilled their study permit condition to actively pursue their course or program of study.

No but I withdrew in Nov 10 2022 and took another program in jan 2023 so I only have 1.5 month gap but according to immigration rules we should not remain free for more than 150 days on study permit right ? And moreover I changed program once not multiple times right ?

Failing All Subjects does not demonstrate reasonable progress toward completion. Provided any failed subject appears in your transcript, its not a good news. In a situations like this once IRCC are aware, they can even go further to request T4 from CRA for 2022/2023. Only way to know what will be the outcome is after you apply.

They didn’t even fail all classes they withdrew so the first semester of the first program should show withdrawn with this half course showing failed. It would have been better to fail all classes versus showing withdrawn as long as OP did attend their classes, did all the tests, submitted all assignments, etc. Would hope they also tried to study. If you register and attend the first semester of a program so that you can change programs without a new study but don’t put any effort into studying, don’t attend classes or study and fail the first semester not sure if you will run into issues when you try to change programs. If you want to remain at the ane school you could end up on academic probation. Most do seem to try and complete the semester and pass their courses if possible. Since OP withdrew they technically didn’t complete a semester so should have applied for a new study permit. This is not a common scenario so impossible to know how IRCC will address the fact that OP withdrew from the first semester of the first program except the half course.
