why would you think changing course has any effect on a PR application which could be years away if you do not qualify now. It could maybe affect a PGWP application with having to provide a clear explanation of why changing in order to get the full PGWP period.

No effect, you are free to change course or even go to any other province to study.

Hi

1. Not Quebec, without a CAQ
I didn't go that deep, I was generally telling him that he does not have to worry about if he wants to choose his course.

I am doing my second course in Canada. I have completed my first one year course in august 2016. I don't want to complete my second course and want to get my work permit. Is it possible? I have applied my husband's open work permit on behalf of my second course. Can it affect his stay as well? Wait for your response. Thanks.

1. No, it's not possible anymore to get PGWP for your first course. It's too late now.
2. Your spouse OWP is based on your study permit validity. If you stay out of school, it will impact your spouse status as well.
