Hi all,

I recently received PPR to submit my passport to Ottawa, from the U.S.; I am moving to another temporary address within the U.S. but will be staying there for more than 2-3 months until we move to a permanent location.

On Annex A., will it be a problem if I provide my temporary address for where I will reside the next few months? Do I need to open a CSE and send an email to notify them before submitting the passports? Or can I ship my passports while including the new temp address, and then send an email the same day informing them of the reasoning?

Appreciate everyone's help.

You can put your new address in Annex. It won't be a problem. They will ship the passport back to the address specified on Annex form
You can send CSE if you wish.

Thanks for the response; makes sense.

Do you foresee that this may cause an issue if they receive my passports before they read the email I send to inform them of the address update?

Anyone else in the forum thinks otherwise?

I had a similar situation where I sent a CSE for address change well before PPR and I also put my new address on Annex A. When I phoned IRCC post PPR to check the status of my application, the agent still saw my old address in the system. Apparently they didn't update it for some reason. I had no problem getting my passport back.
If you want to play safe, send CSE first.

Thanks alot, this is very helpful. I am trying to contact IRCC from the USA to inquire about this, do you happen to have their number?
