Hi all,
I have a question regarding the changes to the live-in caregiver program announced October 31, 2014.
According to CIC website:
“Caregivers who have already applied for Live-in Caregiver Program work permits, and any who apply based on an employer’s approved Labour Market Impact Assessment submitted before November 30, will also be able to complete the work requirement on a live-in basis and eventually apply for permanent residence”
The November 30th deadline…does that mean that the potential caregiver needs to submit the application for work permit before November 30, 2014 in order to fall under the old rules or does that mean the potential employer needs to submit the LMIA application before the November 30, 2014 in order for the potential caregiver to fall under the old rules?
Thanks
