Depends on her "ties". Applying for a US visit visa it seems is easier in the Philippines than getting a visit visa to Canada. To the US if you showed enough funds you can be granted a B1/B2 visa (not always but recently was the trend) but applying for a visit visa to Canada, they look for what will make you want to go back to the Philippines, especially when the applicant is young.

Thanks for the update PatriciaTO. So do you think our plan will work?

My other problem is how to write the letter of invitation that will show she has ties in the Philippines. She is still single and unemployed now, resigned from work to finish the caregiver course but she still lives with my in-laws who are in their 70s. Will also plan to come here when my sister in law is already settled here in canada.

Do you think there's a big chance of issuance of TRV if she also has an approved tourist US visa?

Does anyone know what proof would CIC need to show that you have the requirements of the job being offered?

Is an employment certificate letter enough?

I got something with a signature from my employer.
