Have a look at Buffalo checklist, they adjusted their information with more details and new option in the way of sending the application to their office;

They made some adjustments for the following :

More details was added in respect to the work experience letters, the arranged employment documents and the education documents.

They give the choice now to have your family members undergo the immigration medical tests to sponser them any time in the future or to have them not undergo the immigration medical test (in this case you will have to sign a non-accompanying family members declearation and will never be able to sponsor them in the future as family members) so that if they want to immigrate in the future, they will have to find their own way to do so.

They increased the information in the job reference letter to include the number of weekly hours and they made the company official seal optional by saying:(if applicable)

They give the chance to write your own reference letter if you cannot get it from your employer (regardless whether it was for the current or the past employer) for any reason combined with an explanation letter and any proof of your work experience period at that company.

They added more details about documents related to a proof of relationship in canada.

They deleted the notarized job contracts as one of the documents required for the work experience proof from the list.

Now,they give the choice to poeple who live in canada to submit their applications to the following address by canada post to be submited to BUffalo :

Canadian Consulate General
Immigration Regional Program Centre
P.O. Box 660
Fort Erie, Ontario
L2A 6R6

Unfortunatly, nothing new about their processing time.

Have a deep look guys it is really informative:

Re: Changes in Buffalo checklist contain Very important information& new regulat

Hi I have quick question. In the latest checklist, it says
---------If you have a common-law partner, complete and include the Declaration of
common-law union (IMM 5409) and provide evidence that you have cohabitated
with your partner for a period of at least 12 continuous months and the following
documents listing both your names:
• copies of joint bank account statements,
• copies of leases,
• utility bills etc.

Do you need to attach this form as well if you are applying for FSW and you are married too?
Quick response will be greatly appreciated...

No, that condition applies only for common-law relationships.

If you are married and not in a common-law relationship you don't need to use or submit the Declaration of
common-law union (IMM 5409), the marrage certificate is enough.
