This is regarding my IELTS score. I sent my application on 28th Dec'2012 with the then qualifying IELTS score. but my application was received on 4th January'2013, and with the new changed rules, My IELTS score was low in one section, so I submitted my new IELTS score in March. But my GCMS notes( Aug'13) still doesnt show the updated score. Can my application be rejected on this ground??? As per new rules they r perhaps not accepting new IELTS score....but my case doesnt fall in any case, as at the time of submission the rules were different.
seniors plz advice...

There is no change in IELTS score criteria in the new rule in my view

If you applied in 2012, your application will be assess under 2012 rules.

That may not be completely right. If your application was received by CIO on or after January 2, 2013, your application will be processed I.A.W. new CEC rules.

OP 25-A – Canadian Experience Class

1. What this chapter is about
This chapter describes the processing of applications for permanent residence submitted
by applicants in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and received by the Centralized
Intake Office (CIO) on or after January 2, 2013.

Gotta give you that. Haven't read the first post closely enough. He mentioned application received by jan 4th. So you're right,
application will be assessed according to 2013 ( new ) rules.

yes thts wat i m asking, so will they reject right away, i know its a tricky situation, may be the only such case :)

Chances of Rejection are more.

If I was you, I would have withdrawn my application and reapplied. As of January 2013, your IELTS was 5.5 in one section which technically means you weren't eligible for applying PR. If officer goes by books (which majority of them go with), he will simply reject the application.

Best is go to MP near your house and ask him to check the same thing with CIC. CIC replies back to MP and MP will advice you about next steps.

Not to let you down, but this is what I think.

i qualify in all sections except speaking in the IELTS score I submitted with the application, but in my updated score i have quite high scores in all sections(above 8 ) which i sent in March. The GCMS is showing language test results submitted.but the scores are not updated yet.

you no need to worry as far as you got the AOR. this is the first requirement from CIC to issue an AOR.

u r good to go as you have submitted your new eligible scores, my app was also returned in Jan 2013 with the scores I submitted in dec 2012. They received my app in Jan and didn't consider it with old rules...

thanks nick_ind...thats wat i was asking, if somebody else has faced similar situation...if they accepted my IELTS score, and have even mentioned in the GCMS notes that new language test results attached, m not sure if they will consider it their final decision.
one more question nick_ind, when exactly did u apply in Dec, and when did they receive ur application in Jan ( i mean dates) ??
