You can move anywhere you want, but have to update CIC with a valid mailing address.Jiti said:If I apply file under CEC through a lawyer, can I move right away after applying file or I have to notify to CIC about Address or province movement.
thanks in advance
Your lawyer put his address in the mailing address field on the IMM0008 form? What address does your e-cas show??Jiti said:If my lawyer gave his address on the file.... then y did i need to notify them,,,, as no letter or mail coming to my address... ?
Ya, you can't change your address before you receive the AOR anyway.Jiti said:Actually i just do not want to delay on file process atleast untill i get my file number...
You can't change your address before you receive the file number.Jiti said:so, is it ok ,,, if i change the address before getting file number ?
Why are we still talking about that?!Jiti said:I mean to say if I change the address and not to notify CIC ...how can they know i'm no longer living there ..... is it ok?
Just because you are changing address it dosent mean your processing time is going to be extended, especially when you are in this early stage. Its your duty to notify change of address. Otherwise its misrepresentation, giving an address where you are not living is misrepresentation. Why do you want to fall under this category?Jiti said:I mean to say if I change the address and not to notify CIC ...how can they know i'm no longer living there ..... is it ok?
Don't worry buddy. Move now if you need to and notify CIC later on (when you get your AOR) about your new address.cecstatchk said:Just because you are changing address it dosent mean your processing time is going to be extended, especially when you are in this early stage. Just like Toby said just update your address with CIC.
