Hello, I want to know I can change my position or not.

My workplace has another full-time position now, but i have worked in a full-time job since lastyear summer(the workplace said my working time will keep counted even though I change my position), and i submit my EOI letter said one year ago for full time work already, so I want to know i am allow to change my position or not.
