Change of Specialisation and Study visa

I got admission in the department of chemical and petroleum engineering of University of Calgary for meng.
My visa also got approved.
Now i want to change my specialisation to energy and environmental engg offered by the same department ( it is also an interdisciplinary specialisation).
Do i need to inform the canada visa officials if i change my speciality.
If not ,does it affects my pgwpp

Ya .I opened it.but its its sa nothing about the change of specialisation within a program
