Change of residential address

Hi guys I just moved to a new residential address, and I have e-mailed CPP-O and updated them of my new address my question is.. Do I still have to update my address on the CIC website or E-CAS?

Not really sure what you're asking You should provide them with your actual residential address, wherever in the world that is. Yes, you can specify a different mailing address.

I have moved to my home country after applying for CEC from within Canada. I also subscribed to Canada post's mail forwarding service to direct all my future mails to the new address in Canada.

Is it appropriate to notify CIC before receiving AOR about changes in my residential and mailing addresses since the CIC website mentions that address changes should be informed to CIC as soon as possible.

Your thoughts ?

That's a good question... Things have changed so much since when I applied... If you can wait, I think it would be best to do it when you can provide your file number... But if you're concerned that you won't receive the AOR because of the address change, you should probably try - don't be surprised if it doesn't work, tho. If you already have a client ID, be sure to include that with your request...

While informing CIC, would it be ok to mention both the new mailing address in Canada (mail forwarding address) and the residential address outside Canada ?
