Change of marital status while waiting for PR (federal stage)

Hi guys,
I got my csq After graduating from university.
I sent my application (federal stage) last November but haven’t had any news. First question is: is that normal? It’s been almost a year.
second question: I’ve been living with my partner, who is Canadian, since December 2019. Do I need to notify CIC? Will this have an impact on their final decision?

also, anyone knows how COVID is affecting processing times?

COVID is heavily delaying processing times. As your partner is Canadian it won't impact your eligibility for PR or anything like that, but you still need to keep them informed of changes in your family composition.
