Change of employers phone numbers and address. Attention Jnathan and others.

there is no option to let CIC know about your employer's changed address.
CIC must be informed about your change of address. This is the rule.
Let CIC call your employer, if they woudnt find them, CIC will make contact with you about this and provide them with updated employer address.

I understand, but i did not want to take any chances as my Noc is not more on the list of jobs. So i must pay attention and make sure all is going on right. I have done my part and the rest if their job. I e.mailed them already with all the changes of numbers and names of the institutions. They were actually upgraded to full universities.

I think it is no harm , if i inform them. Anyway i got advise from members of the forum.

not bad that you informed them.

they would however use the web address of your employer to locate their new contact address. the reference letter has got many other options to make contact with employers, web contact form, email, telephone.

you can still fax them as you got nothing to looz but the lastr time i faxed them something they said they did not see it and the lady said i should have emailed it.abidjan visa office just close only once a year which is from 24 dec to first monday of jan.im currently on holliday there so i did go there for some enquiries.
why you did not applied from europe?

Yes i will do so. I loose nothing like you have said. if that be the case then i can post them it will take 10 working days to get there.

Faxing is also a little expensive.

I am an African and my visa office is Abidjan. So i prefer it. I can go there even if i am out of status. My home residency is forever. That is the reason i decided for Abidjan.

canada4all,email it just fine.i dont think you need to post them the same information again.my husband did have quite the same problem as you with a difference.in fact they tried to call his employer and could not get in touch as the numbers were changed so they asked him a new reference letter and all the fone numbers and addresses.and 2 weeks later my husband employer told him that the ambassy call them to know if he works for them and for how long.

I think, i am a little relieved now. I thought i was the only one facing this problem. Good to know that someone had the same problem before and it was resolved.

Sweetypie , please let me know if you do not mind at what stage is your application? Mine is in process, since June 29 2010. Sweetypie , there is also one thing i will like to know from you. Since i sent my full documents to the visa office, my E.Case has never been updated. It still has the same old information from Nova Scotia. Do you think i should write and inform them or it is not important. I emailed them and they informed me that my file is being processed. That was since June 29 , i do not even know for how long they have been processing it, since my E.Case has never been updated. Do you get updates from your E.case?

hi,in fact my husband is the one who did apply decision was made in march this year.and he is since in canada.your ecase will show in process until the visa office asked for your passport for the visa.because we used to chech ecase everyday we saw one afternoon decision made and the next morning my husband was at the ambassy and he asked them if there is anything for him and the lady checked and gave him an envellope contening his ppr.after in process abidjan do not usually update until decision is made(in our case anyway).do not email them for that in my view it is not that important because they say they will ignore repeatitif emails.have you done your medical?dont worry i know it is scary time but everything will be fine.keep faith.

Thanks a million. i will just forget about it and carry on my daily activities. No i have not done medicals yet still waiting for that. That was the reason why i was trying to send them those contacts and the details f or my employers.

I think i have done my share of t he work , so it is their turn now. Let me relax and do some work for myself.
