In my case, I made the DLI change after being accepted into this 6-month CEGEP program.

However, I would now need to change it again to return to my original college.
A. You were not allowed to change DLI when you came to Canada. You studied at Tremplin without a study permit.
B. Apply for new study permit and see what happens.

I'm not sure what further information you are looking for. You were required to obtain a new study permit before changing schools. You changed schools without authorization.

However, after the latest changes implemented by the Prime Minister, changing the DLI now requires a new visa.

So, to return to the college that was the initial one in my process, will it be necessary to apply for a new visa?

The previous rules also required you to get a new study permit before changing schools. As we have said several times, you changed schools without authorization. You should hire an immigration lawyer to help you at this point. Good luck.
