Change of Address before receiving AOR

I applied back in April and haven't received AOR yet.
In the meantime I moved and changed address.
I submitted form for address change online following all steps.
In the case my application is not complete and they need to send it back, are they going to send it to my new address or to my old address?

1, Probably your old address as no file would have be created, so unlikely your online address changes would be married to the file.

I remember being in the same situation, but I canceled my move until I received the AOR from IRCC.

It's risky, I think, to move before they enter the address into their system ... Because they risk sending you correspondence to your old address.

That was my plan honestly. It used to take them around 2 months to send you the AOR. But with covid I have been waiting for 5 months and nothing. So I had to move eventually.

I applied online in March 2021, still waiting for AOR, and I just had to move to the new apartment but staying in the same city Toronto. How can I change my address before receiving AOR?
I tried https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas but seems like it works only if you have AOR when they start processing your file. I used unique client identifier to locate my application but since the processing hasn't started yet, it's not showing anything.

You won't see the application on the system before receiving AOR.

Try calling the IRCC call center and see if they are able to update the address on their end. Not sure if this is possible but worth a try.

Otherwise, you'll have to wait until you receive AOR and then update the address.
