Hi,

Wondering if I can get some advice. My wife (PA) has linked her account, uploaded Schedule A and Police Certificates (x2) along with been requested for a medical (to be done March 20). I (Sponsor) have just received Sponsor Approval. As far as I can tell everything is going smooth with this process to receive PR.

We (me, my wife and 2 young children) will depart for Canada on April 3 and arrive under dual intent. I have a job that I will start soon after our arrival and my wife will visit until she is granted PR. We are not planning on returning to Sweden, but have a return ticket. We will move out of our house here in Sweden on March 28 and stay in a hotel for a few days until our flight date.

Now, should we both update CIC with our new address in Canada now (while still in Sweden) or wait until we arrive in Canada?

I recommend that you wait until you arrive in Canada then change the address.

I would do it now, especially since it takes time to show the address update. You have less than two weeks left.

Most of the time IRCC communicates by e-mail anyway.

You should also ask someone in Sweden to check to see if any snail mail comes to your address in Sweden. And you should ask the person at the address you are moving to in Canada to look out for snail mail for you from IRCC, just in case.

Hi

Wait until your address actually changes.
