Hi, I came to Canada to study in college first three month I studied in English school at pathway program .This program allows students to enter college as only you finish school .However, for some reasons I couldn't finish English school Therefore, college refused my acceptance and they decided to withdraw me from the program.I was supposed to start my study on January 2014 and my study visa going to expire on December 2014 .Unfortunately,my program starts once every year it means I have to wait until next January, but there is a problem .Canada immigration office will not give me another study permit If I will not change my status here because my aim was to study so if I will go and apply again they will ask me what I was doing in this period .So I decided to change my status from student visa to spouse visa (as my wife studying here now in college for 2 years ) .My question is ,is it possible to change my study visa into spouse visa without leaving Canada and what are the procedures to do it ? Please I need help and I will appreciate your help so much .I need exact answers please . Thank you so much

I suggest you guys get sorted soon if you both are ready to start a family. And yes you're eligible to go for the spouse visa or whatever they call. If you require a proper handling of your applications without any error, you should hand it over to a reliable immigration lawyer.

I dont want to hire any lawyer I want to do it by my self just I need to know which things I must do to change my status into spouse visa until I will apply next year again to college .

I want to add more details : My wife studying at college right now and I want just to stay with her I have one year study .but because college didnt accept me I want to change it into visitor visa or accompanying visa and before my college starts I want to apply again and get study permit again .

As a spouse of an international student you can apply for an open Work Permit. You can apply online, you will need to upload your spouse's Study permit, your passport and a photograph. Your Work Permit will be issued for the duration of your spouse's Study permit. Later on you can apply for a Study permit if you decide to study.

You guys you marry at the registry and the rest will follow. I wish you a happy life as you start a new family. Work on this ASAP to avoid distance.

Thank you all I already called CIC office and told them about our situation, they told the same as Orange Girl told up :)

I am glad I could help! Good luck! :)
