I made another phone call earlier in the afternoon today. I asked that similar question about the whole "moving to Ontario for an employment opportunity, but keep the Citizenship case to process the remainder of its "final stage" in Montreal."
The CIC agent said there is no problem with doing that, no delay, no negative impact, just keeping the mailing/living address all the same obviously to where I would live in Ontario. He advised with the same answer as the previous CIC agent. The only thing that needs to be done is to write a letter explaining this request to the CIC, then call up once Canada Post confirms the mail reached CIC's doorstep. Then if/when the oath invite comes they mail it to the Ontario address, and simply travel to Montreal to attend the ceremony.
Anyways, just wanted to give the update on this specific topic in regards to how consistent the answers were from one CIC agent to the next one.
Hope this helps!
