Change in Post ITA Questionnaire from EE Profile, will i get rejected?

I received an ITA last week, but I wanted to ask if I can make a change on the questionnaire (related to relatives living in Canada).

I had enough points to begin with, but put my relatives in anyway for the EE profile. Now, for some significant reasons, I dont want to be using that in my application. I already met the points threshold and CRS points (where this doesnt count anyway).

The only thing I am worried about is that the immigration officer/department will wonder why I took this out? and perhaps reject my application.

Explain in a LOE the reason as well as the fact that your eligibility for the program for which you're applying for remains unaffected.

As long as this does not affect your CRS points, and your score is over the CRS Cutoff, you should not have to worry; Mention this in your LoE as pointed already by DelPiero07.

From what i know, relatives points dont count in CRS (only in the initial 67 threshold to be eligible).

But why do i need to explain? The EE Profile questions said it was only for reference. If I qualify right now without points, I dont want to bring attention to this point (which might raise questions)

You asked for advice and that's what we provided, you are free to do whatever you think is best.

I am trying to weigh the pros and cons of both options, thats why i asked.

Want to keep things as simple as possible.

I checked right now, and I get no points from relatives in EE pool. And I would have qualified for Express Entry in the first place, without it.
Any advice, given above, would be welcome.

Many experienced heads have given you advice, as requested. Continuing to ask until you get the opinion that you want is a little pointless.

I have prepared a response. Any feedback?

Subject: Slight change in profile post-ITA receipt, No impact on eligibility

To Whom It May Concern
Hope this finds you well. I am writing this to inform and clarify a slight change in my profile since I have received the invitation to apply on XXXX (from Draw #57 – March 24, 2017).

When I initially created my CIC account, and entered my personal information to apply under the Express Entry program, I had indicated ‘Yes’ to the following question:

“Does XXX have a relative who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada? (The relative must be 18 or older and living in Canada.)”

1. This answer was based on my Aunt (who is a Canadian citizen).
2. However, my Aunt is currently not residing in Canada. While she intends to re-take residence in Canada in the latter part of this year - In my final application for immigration (post-ITA documents), I am excluding my claim on this question, since I do not have control or visibility about her residence plans.
3. This does not affect my eligibility for the Express Entry Program or my CRS rank (as I indicate below)
My points for Express Entry eligibility are greater than threshold for Federal Skilled Workers

- Show my points at 68

My CRS points remain unimpacted by this event
- Show my CRS at 441
