Change in passport details after receiving ITA

Hello everyone,

I have received my ITA in last round which occured on 29th Oct 2018, my CRS was 271. When I went to Passport office to get Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), I was told that my passport is damaged. It had a ink blot on second page, which I didnt know would be considered as damaged. I was told that they wont issue PCC till I get my paasport re-issued. Though my passport is still valid till 2021

I have raised the request for renewal of passport under damaged category, but my concern is, can I continue applying for Permanent Residence profile with details of both my old and new passport? Or I will have to decline this ITA and create new Express Entry (EE) profile?

because I cant edit details in my old EE profile, its showing 'Transmitted'.
I'm really confused.

When you submit your E-APR, show the valid passport and explain in the LOE why this change.

Please help me with more clarification, as I havent reached the stage of e-APR..the application of EE was submitted and I got invite based on it,now I have an application open which is 'Permanent Residence' application, it has all the details previously filled in EE profile, so it has also has details of old passport, so in 'Permanent Residence' application, should I keep data for both old and new passport and submit details reason in LOE?

Will I be able to attach anything in LOE, like passport application form, annexure F of passport where I stated the reason I'm getting passport renewed?

Also where is the option to submit LOE in 'Permanent Residence' application?

You can show scans of your old and new passport. Explain why you have a new passport.

There will be a special placeholder (client information) for the LOE.

No need to show passport forms and all that stuff.

so had you taken medical on old passport or a new one???
i have also same case
