Change in Parents' Name

My passport contains my fathers' name too. it had three parts like STEVE, KYLE. I communicated the same to CIC in my PR application.

but later my father added one more part to his name like STEVE, KYLE, JAMES so when I obtained my passport, it contained three parts. I forwarded the same passport details to CIC. So there is a dochotomoy. Would it make any difference?

Should I change my father's name on passport as per my PR application. OR
I should inform CIC about this change. If any yes, then how?

Any one who can advice, please.
