Hello

I have got PR card 2 years back when I went to Canada for firs time as my wife is Canadian and I was holding Indian passport then. I am currently working in UK and staying with my wife. Recently my application for UK citizenship has been successful. I am due to receive my UK passport in the next month or so and will have to surrender my Indian passport.

My query is how it affect status of my Canadian PR card as my nationality says IND on PR card ? I am planning to relocate to Canada next year permanently and hence don't want to give up on my PR status.

Any advice or information will be helpful

Regards

Suhail

This won't affect your PR status at all. There is no need to notify anyone or do anything.

Hi Suhail,

You are almost in the same circumstances as myself. I also got UK passport and returned to Canada to settle. Keep in touch
