change in marital status - need advice

Dear friends I have successfully completed my immigration process as a single person with kids.
Before my arrival to Canada (a couple of weeks before) I got married officially, but being involved in different administrative issues, I didn't manage to inform the immigration service about this change.
So I came to Canada and became a permanent resident.
Now I am in Canada, but in all my documents it's written "single".
How and to whom should I inform about this change in my marital status.
Thanks in advance for your ideas.

It's too late since you have already landed. You were obligated to inform CIC before you landed.

Hopefully you are aware that you can now never sponsor your spouse for PR.

It's unbelievable ! Actually it was just a lack of information.
You think no way to correct this error?
No - there's no way to correct this error. If you read through the letter that was given to you along with your PR visa / COPR, you'll see it states that you must notify CIC of any family composition changes before landing. It's too late now.

If your spouse wishes to immigrate to Canada, he/she will have to qualify on their own.

Technically you also committed misrepresentation by landing on a visa issued for a single person when you were in fact married. However it's unlikely anything will happen to you as a result of this

Unfortunately I have to agree with Scylla. Is a huge mistake, you have to inform CIC of every change specially in your marital status within 30 days or before landing (whatever is first)

Hi,

Good day!!

Generally this situation occurs if you select as single it means you are married but applied as single, if you are not married we have an option to select as unmarried. In your case as you selected as single and now your PR is granted now. You cannot apply for a dependent visa until a year as per Canada(CIC) which is recently changed to IRCC(Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada)

Requesting you to wait for a year so then you can apply for a dependent visa for your spouse. In the mean time you can try and apply for Visit visa as your intention is to stay with your family.

Hope the above information is helpful.

***SCAM CONSULTANT ALERT***

This advice is 100% wrong. The spouse can NEVER be sponsored. It's no wonder there are so many complaints about the services of y-axis immigration consultants on the web and no wonder so many people say that y-axis is one big scam. If y-axis offering advice like this - you clearly know absolutely nothing about Canadian immigration. You should be ashamed to be offering advice and giving people false hope. You are bad people and I wish bad things upon you for scamming people out of money and giving such horribly wrong advice.

More proof y-axis is a scam:
