Change for inland application

Does anyone know for sure about the change for inland application. Do u now have to maintain legal status. ? I am about one week away from handing my papers in. This could change everything

As posted in the other thread (regarding this change), it is now in the In-Canada Guide that was modified on October 23rd (last week).

No idea why it was changed, but it has.

If I were to put my application in it probably be refused. Think I may need a lawyer now

Can you fix your status in Canada? Are you still within the 90 day restoration period?

No I am not I am afraid been here 2 and half years. Now my sons in school I feel lost.

Personally, I still find this very confusing.

So, CIC has modified their Guide for an In-Canada application, but they have not updated ip08 (the manual that the Visa Officers follow when assessing an application) to reflect this change. When are they planning to do that?

Too bad there isn't someone at CIC that could be contacted to shed some light on this mystery.

Very true ponga. I am just about to get my police record everything else is done. I hope I have time somehow. I know this was my fault in the end but for my son I hope I can still do this
