Change country of application before/after ITA

Hello! I'm new to this forum and indeed, the CIC application process. So if this is a repeat thread, I apologize. I'm living in the US, and not having gotten my H1 after three years in a row, I'm now planning to move to Canada. I have written my IELTS and have submitted my degree certificate to the WES for assessment. It is likely to take a little longer to get my official assessment. It is my understanding that unless we have the piece of paper that says that my degree is an equivalent degree, I can't even hit Submit on my Express Entry profile. It is likely that it'll be almost a month before I can successfully submit my application, making it the middle of July. I intend leaving the US latest by the end of August and return to India. According to the CRS, I am close to 500 points even without a job offer or anything. Once I get my ITA, I read that they ask for 6 months of bank statements. This poses a problem for me. Potentially. And this is where I need help.

1. If I get my ITA before I leave, I can submit my US bank statements and leave. But how will this change/affect/impact my application? Do I need to inform someone or do something specific to change my country of residence from the US to India?

2. If I leave before I get my ITA, how do I handle the bank statements? I don't/won't have 6 months of history in India in any case, and so how would I go about my application then?

If someone on here has been in a similar situation, or knows how this would play out, please do let me know. Thank you for your time!

Just curious - are you intending to cancel your bank accounts in the US when you leave the country? If not then what seems to be the problem? You can just keep the money in your US account and use the e-statements, right?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1 - You only have to update your address http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp

2 - Even if you're not in the US you can still show the bank statements from your US bank account. If you transfer all the money to your Indian bank account then you can still provide the US bank statements for the officer to see where the money came from + whichever bank statements you'll have from you Indian bank account.

Possibly, but if I'm leaving the country, can I legally keep my bank accounts open in the US? Also, when can I then close it? I'm just not sure if I can do that. Again, not doubting, but I don't want to do anything risky.

I see. This makes a lot of sense. And puts my mind at ease. Thank you so much for your time and guidance :)

I do believe you can legally keep your US bank accounts even after you leave the country. Nowadays many banks in the US allow foreign residence/home addresses. I have my US bank accounts for years after I graduated from college in the US and left the country.

Oh interesting! I will definitely look into this option and contact my bank to see what can be done. Thank you! Out of curiosity, you aren't an American citizen, are you?
