Hello! I'm new to this forum and indeed, the CIC application process. So if this is a repeat thread, I apologize. I'm living in the US, and not having gotten my H1 after three years in a row, I'm now planning to move to Canada. I have written my IELTS and have submitted my degree certificate to the WES for assessment. It is likely to take a little longer to get my official assessment. It is my understanding that unless we have the piece of paper that says that my degree is an equivalent degree, I can't even hit Submit on my Express Entry profile. It is likely that it'll be almost a month before I can successfully submit my application, making it the middle of July. I intend leaving the US latest by the end of August and return to India. According to the CRS, I am close to 500 points even without a job offer or anything. Once I get my ITA, I read that they ask for 6 months of bank statements. This poses a problem for me. Potentially. And this is where I need help.
1. If I get my ITA before I leave, I can submit my US bank statements and leave. But how will this change/affect/impact my application? Do I need to inform someone or do something specific to change my country of residence from the US to India?
2. If I leave before I get my ITA, how do I handle the bank statements? I don't/won't have 6 months of history in India in any case, and so how would I go about my application then?
If someone on here has been in a similar situation, or knows how this would play out, please do let me know. Thank you for your time!
