It seems to me IELTS is mandatory to apply study permit application to Canada embassy

And I think I wouldn't be a problem to score 6 or more bands for student like you,,

Thus, in safe side you should have an IELTS score otherwise situation is varied according to each applicant

Yes I have been waived off by University and got unconditional offer letter.

Harleen, If you look at the page 4 checklist with heading You must submit the following (I guess then it's a mandatory requirement from CIC) :

I hired consultants from chandigarh. They said that it is not mandatory if you have been in english medium school since last 14 years.

yea i just got my refusal letter
these are the two reasons they gave me -
1. Purpose of Visit
2.Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following-
a.your qualifications, previous studies, missing marks card, gap in studies employment, level of establishment, language abilities or your future prospects and plans.
