I also checked my eta status and I also got the same status. Though I have linked my application online as well and I have passed medicals on 3rd August
I applied on 1st Aug and file was transfereed to Chandigarh Vac on 2nd August.
Any idea on when can I expect my decision.
My application was paper based submitted at Chandigarh vfs.

i applied on 30th online so don't really know where my application will be processed but according to my consultant it will be processed at chd vfs and they say it takes roughly around 15-16 days for spp and almost a month for non-sppRdass3646 said:

I am saying that we applied for study permit only.. and still we can track eta status because embassy officers have filed our eta applications.,which must be filled after medical passed as it still shows eta takes 72 hours for processing.
like i applied on Aug 1

eta status under process ( don't know when it has been filed and when 72 hours will be completed )
so my question is whether embassy officers filed eta applications for all candidates or only for those candidates to whom they are interested to give visa ??

@ IKB To be honest I was also thinking about the same thing.
But what my logic tells me is that they file eta for every candidate because if they filed eta only for the candidates they wanna give visa to, then we would have heard about this method of checking visa status long back

@Jot The application number is mention in the acknowledgement message or email you received from chandigarh embassy. It confirms that ur application has been successfully transferred from vfs to embassy.
For Chandigarh embassy i guess it starts with S followed by some numbers.
