Hi all,

I have got acceptance letter from Humber and Centennial colleges. Now that i have got letter i am thinking of applying for visa can anyone plz reply what are the chances of getting visa for the below profile -

Country - India
College - Humber
Course applying - Information technology solutions(computer programming course)
10th - 89%
12th - 81.7%
B.tech(Bio-technology) - 8.6 CGPA
Work exp - 2.5 years in software company

One year tution fess paid.

Will there be a problem in getting visa as my proposed course of study is different than that of my academic background(biotechnology)? I have written is SOP that i am working in software comp hence i am doing IT course to improve my skills.

I am applying under SPP process.

Regards,
Obula

Change your course, despite your fee payment , I think you can apply for a course change due the requirements most of the times are similar.
Your chances are high if we only look at your overall profile, but your course selection can lead most probably to this:

your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualification, previous studies,EMPLOYMENT,level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

But Everything depends from which country you are, developed nations most of the times don't have any trouble even with course mismatch.

Thanks all for replying but i am working as software engineer for nearly 2.5 years hence applied for IT course rather than biotech course. I have also mentioned in SOP that i want to pursue higher studies to improve my technical skills in IT.

it looks gud !! there will be no issue !! Btech in Biotech means hez a person who works on Softwares relating to Biotech/Medical !!! a btech in any field if hez workin in any domain bankin, retail, pharma, biotech !! it doesnt matter !! i dont see any mismatch !!! this profile is perfect !!! go ahead any apply under SPP and do keep in mind the Loan Requirement !!!
