Hi guys,
i am planning to take 1 year post secondary Office Administration certificate program at SIAST Polytechnic Saskatchewan. Which will allow me 1 year PGWP to find job in relevant field, hence PR and i think administrative assistant jobs will come easily if i am not wrong. What you guys suggest ? Will it work ?

Please write your complete profile.
and if you choose 1 year study thn you ned to make sure that you have a job when you finish your studies. as only then you will be able to complete the required hours of employment.
and trust me its VERY VERY difficult to complete the required hours of work during 1 year work permit.
Please choose 2 year program and then you will get 3 years work permit after your graduation.

cheers

I have competed Higher Secondary(grade 12) with 75 percent. Yes I know that I will have to complete required job hours but for Saskatchewan its just 6 months of job and that too can be covered in part time jobs while I am studying. I have financial problems that's why I am choosing 1 yr certificate.

No, I attend the sinp seminar held on last week at saskatchewan polytechnic. The manager of sinp said. The hours Which we are doing as a part time will be counted as a 960 hours in any field but she also said that we have to work 6 months in the relevant field before applying. So basically the things which you can do of you want to go for 1 year course is you have to find part time job from the day 1 you came here and also you have to find full time job instantly once you graduated. Hope this help.

i personally feel 1 year program is a little risky in light of the new express entry.

I would also recommend you to take 2 years course & you will get 3 yrs work permit that be enough time to get your PR. I did the same thing & got my PR last year in July.
