Chances of getting rejected after receiving invite from Ontario

Hi,

I am having a total CRS 402,and received invite from Ontario to submit application within 45 days. I am also expected to pay 1500 CAD towards non refundable processing fees. I am wondering is there a chance that I get rejected even after furnishing all the document, i.e. applying with duly filled application supported with all documents as per checklist?

It will be helpful if you can share your experience or thoughts.

Thanks.

yep you can still get rejected. OOPNP is simply an application for extra points. Once you go through the process to get those, you then begin the PR process with an ITA. Read through the rejection thread for reasons people have been rejected after submitting their documents.

Thanks. I have doubts that do they perform some kind of internal draw, and reject people because of low scores? Also I read in the link you shared people had uploaded documents. I am in express entry, and just received PT invite. Where do I need to upload the documents?

You're not likely to fail the Ontario application. As for EE, that largely depends on you.

When you get an ITA, you have to demonstrate enough points to meet the draw you got. PNP gets you 600 points, which means that if you get drawn at 450, you have a much harder time getting rejected.

As an example, some people get rejected because their job offer is not permanent. With PNP, that's a non-issue. Some people get rejected because their experience ends up counted differently. With PNP, that's a non-issue. Some people get rejected because their education is counted as fewer years. Again, with PNP, that's a non-issue.

That being said, PNP will not solve issues with criminal ineligibility. So, if you have a police record, you will likely end up rejected.[/quote]

If you get the OOPNP, and your application is rejected for EE (due to something like a paperwork issue), they will refund the fees. You can then re-apply, and the PNP nomination should still be good.
