Chances Of Getting Admission in University of Alberta/Calgary

Dear,

Did you applied for U of Calgary??? I am also interested to apply for U of C but they demanded me financial proof prior to I apply for admission....at this moment I can't show them financial statements....

I want to know from you that did you applied for it or not???

one thing more as Uni of calgary required first division from the applicant from Pakistan. but my grading is in CGPA scale so ill it consider its equivalent or ill consider my Cgpa ?

for calgary this year the competition has increased exponentially......min 85% is required and since you are going for petroleum engineering for which competition is very high you wont make it to be frank

Job- Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS), Chennai, India as Systems Engineer for 3.4 Years (Sep, 2008- Dec, 2011)/

Msc( from feb,2012 and expected graduation date-feb 2014) in Communication Engineering at National Taipei University ,Taiwan ( Awarded Taiwan Ministry of Education Scholarship). Current CGPA-3.94 (out of 4 scale)./

I am really interested to build my career in Research Field i.e. in Wireless Communication. I want to apply for Phd(Electrical & Computer Engineering Stream) in Canada(Prefer MUN, CONCORDIA, VICTOTIA,REGINA) But right now I don't have publications in Journal or Conference. May be I will have my publication after Graduation means after Feb, 2014.

So I am really tensed. I need advice from you guys.....Shall I Apply for MaSc Instead of Phd? Still I didn't Contact with any Supervisor. Definitely I will try to get funding from professor. In this regard please evaluate my profile.

If I Apply for Masc then it will be my 2nd Masters. Will it create any Issue to get visa? There may be a question which visa officer may think ......

I am b-tech in civil engineering from guru nanak dev engineering college ,ludhiana,punjab,india.I got average of 72% with 1 backlog.

How much percentage is required for university of alberta.

and have read that petroleum engineering has the max competition as only alberta and calgary are having this petroleum engg masters. other universities are there too but i dont consider regina or newfoundland universities as universities.

Toronto and UBC dont have masters in petroleum else would have aimed for those unis.

I have a m tech from nit calicut with 7.8 cgpa and btech from cusat at 67percentage. Have 2 year work experience in piping design... Do i stand any chance for uoa or calgsry fpr meng? My pr process is also going on.. as u might have completed ur course there.. ur imput ll be of great help
