did they tell you to quarantine regardless of you showed them letter and essential worker status? still they told you to quarantine?

Public health still comes before essential worker status. It is really dependent on what your job is and where you work, how long you were outside Canada, your employer’s requirements when it comes to quarantine, etc. Not all essential workers are exempted from quarantine.

Are you travelling to secure work? You should be aware that finding jobs in this market may be very difficult so you should be prepared if you remain unemployed for the summer.
  • No. I am not worried about the job market for now.
  • I am traveling as a student (on a student visa).
  • My 1st year (course is of 2 years) is getting over on 23rd April, I am tentatively arriving on Canada on 25th.
  • My college is under Covid Ready Govt. approved list
  • I have valid college quarantine plan (3 days govt. + 11 days with college)
Questions:
  1. As I have a 4 month break (summer break) before 3rd semester, will Border Officers see my travel as valid?
  2. Are there ways I can vindicate my travel?

what are you going to do the whole Summer? you have no schooling to do
what are you going to answer?

Where's the proof of that? Also, is this consistent throughout the year or only when you're traveling during breaks? I can't quite understand the relevance of grades in issuing the study permit. Does that mean if a student had poor grades they would be denied a SP and thus their visa would be annulled?
One case happened right in front of me beside the counter at the Toronto POE. One female officer wasn't satisfied with the grades and gave 3 months study permit to one person (despite their course being 2 years and start date was Winter 2021) saying to extend if he manages to pass the subsequent semester.
