Hello,
I'm a newbie and I was just looking for a little advice.
About 4 months ago I moved to Montreal on a Temporary Work Permit. Unfortunately the job hasn't worked out.
I have found a new job and received confirmation yesterday that the LMO has been approved and I'm currently waiting on my CAQ. I am meant to start my new job on the 28th of March (my employer is planning to fly me to the states and back so I can get my new work permit on the border) so ideally I would like to hand in my notice to my currently employer next week.
My new employer insists that there won't be any problem and that the CAQ approval is essentially automatic with the LMO, but I'm paranoid that the CAQ may get rejected. Does anyone have any experience with this? I couldn't find any mention of anyone being denied a CAQ, is there any reason for me to be paranoid?
Thanks for any advice!
Joe
