Friends,

Can someone share their opinion on how easy/difficult it is get a medical license for a US trained physician (i.e. residency in US)? Medical degree is from India. I found the licensing process to be quite confusing as it varies by state. Is is possible to get Canadian license without any canadian experiene (but US experience?) Thank you.

Doesn't matter where you studied but you will need to make sure all your qualifications are converted correctly. Decide on what NOC you are first and go from there.

I'd worry about getting PR first.

Licencing is province specific so it depends where you end up.

The main problem for foreign doctors in Canada is getting into residency programs. However, this is the case where residency is already done where some reciprocal agreements between Canada and US exist. I was looking for information who went through the process and has similar credentials.
