If anyone would know, what would be my chances of getting a successful student visa at Cape Breton University, Sydney, NS? I have a working gap of almost 11 years now, IELTS (Aug'21) - L9 R8 W7 S7, total family income of more than CAD18000. The fee and GIC have already been paid.

Which intake are you planning to apply?

Applied in August, got offer in September. Took months to gather documents and money, and paid fee in late October, GIC in early November, applied for visa soon after. Biometrics were done on 1 December. Medical was upfront, some day in September, soon after offer letter.

What has your qualification and current job have to do with SCM? That's the question the VO will be asking. If no correlation/relevance, your application will be refused..unless you have a VERY compelling reason for wanting to switch.

Qualification, nothing. Current job does have the aspect of transportation and logistics. I am working as technical supervisor, but the fields of work are many in the same industry. Logistics department pays better, and with international exposure and education, I will be a better choice for the logistics supervisor than anyone else, and would have a better pay scale. Also, all the good industry is moving forward to exporting their products, and would sure offer me a better paying job when I'm back after studying.

Not sure I see the correlation with SCM. You will need to write a solidly convincing study plan.

Also, your existing PR application will raise additional red flag.

Manufacturing is one of the first steps within a supply chain even though its not a 'core' function so work is somewhat related to the program. The main issue you would have is that you are 33 and have many years of experience. A Master's would be more suitable but I think this is an okay program to go for.

I have no PR "application". I had an expression of interest profile, but never moved ahead due to a very low score. Everyone I asked, they said if you did not pay anything during the EE period, the government does not know anything about your plans. If the profile was picked, and went through first stage of scrutiny, then it would be treated as express entry application. Otherwise, nothing happened.
I have a good study plan, and I should get through.

That's why I chose this. Other option was master's in international business but there are far too many MBA holders in India, and prospect for landing a good job diminishes with an increased number of candidates. Its all about supply and demand. There a good supply of MBA but limited demand, so the product has lost its value. Logistics are not taught, or I haven't seen it being taught, in my area. And with industries moving towards exports, I think it must make for a low supply but high demand opportunity.

Oh I see. Your signature is confusing - of you don't have an active FSW application, why the details in your signature?
All the best!
