Chances for 2147 applicants - no false hopes

Hi,

My application was received on 30th of July. Considering the CAP is 290, what are my chances?

Firstly, I was thinking that if the 4th July applicant was charged on lets say 1-2 Oct, doesn't that mean that his/her file must've been opened a 4-5 days earlier? I mean first CIC people will check the file and see if the applicant is eligible and complete. After that they will send the DD or CC to get charged.

Secondly, If the cap reaches and my application is not opened. Will the CIC people send the file back to me or put in in waiting list just in case if any of the accepted applicant fails in medical tests or any other step?

Unfortunately I don't think your chances are very good. But you'll have to wait and see.

If you don't make the cap, your application will be returned to you unprocessed.

My application reached CIC on 29th of July. The cap has reached 300 now How to check my application status. Do we get any mail if the application is processed. and if not how much time will it take for application return
