Chance of re medicals??? Please help .............

Hi Friends..... I have a query ......

I got my medicals gone on 25 March, 2013. I am sending my file latest by next week. I have a query regarding the possibility of re medicals in my case..

The medicals of my dependent son and husband are clear for sure but I am doubtful about mine. I have a scar on my lungs... that was apparent in my chest x ray. I had some infection in my lungs when i was just 13 .... 18 years ago from today..... for this infection i was given some medications including steroids for a few months....... I told the DMP regarding the same......

My queries are:
1) If I send my file next week about how much time will it take for the re medicals to come in case they do?
2) what all tests i might be asked to go through?
3) I read somewhere on the forum that the sputum analysis test if asked for, can only take place in gurgaon, is that true?
4) I have had a neat medical history after that and have been consistently getting various tests done just to keep a check on my health..... is there any chance of rejection in cases like mine?
5) Will my one year period for Visa still start from the date of my medicals even in case I get re medicals?
6) For approximately how long can my case get delayed?


I know these are too many questions but i am right now worried about my visa and settling down plans... please help me guys... i would be highly grateful.

Don't worry dear it might little bit delay your application but no chance for rejection
And also I think you can do your seputum test from PGI Chandigarh good luck

From observation in this forum, folks generally got notified between 2-6 weeks from date of sending paper work. Can vary from case to case.
2) what all tests i might be asked to go through?

If you are cured and have no reason to believe you have a medical condition that could be termed excess on Canadian Medical system, you could safely presume no harm to your application processing.
5) Will my one year period for Visa still start from the date of my medicals even in case I get re medicals? YES
6) For approximately how long can my case get delayed? Depends on various criterions.

Dear, if you are sending medicals next week then i suggest you should get refernce letter from your consultant showing that now you are disease free with all your clear medical reports. If you send all these, may be you get rid of remedicals in future and your time will be saved.

it would be one year from the date of medicals

Its my pleasure, i think your visa will be one year from 1st medical, if you send all the details with 1st medical then hopefully there will be no need for remedicals be positive and be blessed
