I want to migrate to Canada and would really appreciate any guide as a first timer on how to apply for a visa and work permit.
You do not qualify for a PRTD. You should not be applying for a PRTD.

To qualify for a work permit, you first need to get a job with an employer in Canada and that employer needs to get an approved LMIA. If you want to try to find a job in Canada, you will need to apply for jobs through sites like indeed and linkedin.

If you want to come to Canada for a short visit as a tourist, then you need to apply for a TRV: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp

So you don’t need an invite code. There is nothing to apply for at this time. If you want to immigrate then you need to immigrate through one of the economic program like Express Entry or as @scylla said, you find an employer and get a LMIA to apply for a closed work permit. The LMIA proves that no one in Canada with PR or citizen has the skills, only you. You may want to get an ECA done for your education and IELTs to prove proficiency in English.

Immigration programs are based on your age, education, skilled work experience, language and funds.

There is no such thing as a "permanent work permit". There is permanent residency and there are temporary work permits.

If you want a temporary work permit, then you first need to find a job offer in Canada.

If you want permanent residency, then research the Express Entry program: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/works.html

There is no such thing as a permanent work permit. If you want to immigrate you need to research Express Entry first. I provided the link. You will need ECA for your education and IELTS for language. You need 67 points to even submit a profile. Then you need around 480 CRS points to get invited. This means you needs to be bilingual, have a Masters or be invited with a skilled job.
