My sister is applying for FSW and is requesting for the following documents from me:
- photocopy of permanent residence card
- photocopy of Notice of Assessment
- printout of utility bills (all my bills are in electronic form): EPCOR, Intact Insurance, Telus
- certificate of employment (also in electronic form)
- credit card bill (also in electronic form)

I am a bit confused with the Instruction Guide; when I read it, what I understand is that I only need to have photocopies certified if they are not English or French (aka certified translated docs) or if they have existing paper copies.

Other than the NoA, all others are either in electronic form or in hard plastic (PR card).

Can anyone advise me what I need to do so that my sister's application doesn't get sent back because of non-completion? My opinion is 'Copies' in the instruction guide meant just copies, but maybe there's someone here who went through the exact same thing.

Thanks!

Thanks ksa0510 for the response, but my question is only specifically for the documents needed to prove that you have a relative in Canada that can help you 'adapt'. As per checklist:

- proof of relationship (birth certificate)
- proof of residency/citizenship (record of landing, COPR and PR card (photocopy only, no I am not sending the plastic card in).
- proof of address (bills, account statements, etc.)

The first item we already have, the second one I most definitely will not provide the original form (you only get one COPR and record of landing, and no way I am sending my PR card to my sister for submission), and the third one I only have e-bills to produce (all bills in Canada are in electronic form).

The question really is, for just the relative-specific documents, do I need to give my sister certified true copies, since really there is no true paper copy for the bills. The PR card and COPR I figured will need to be certified for sure.

In my opinion, it would be better if you certify bills for the last 3-6 months from the respective issuing agencies. Experienced members may correct me.

Copies are fine. No certifications are need. Send copies of electronic bills.
