Certified Accounting Technician course-UK- Acceptable? Please help

Dear All,

I am planning to apply for Canada PR under NOC 1212-Supervisors, finance and insurance office workers.
I would like to get a clarification regarding education qualification for NOC 1212. I have 3 year bachelor degree (Bachelor of Commerce) from recognized university and also Certified Accounting Technician UK (C.A.T).

Please advise if Certified Accounting technician is accepted through WES.

If not, will my 3 year Bachelor degree be sufficient for applying under NOC 1212?

I dont think WES evaluates trade qualifications. Not sure but may others can advise better.

Hello Sam,

Thanks for your response. I have already claimed the equivalence of ACCA member and WES Canada has given me 3 years bachelor. Now I have got CAT membership as well. Will they award me another diploma based on my CAT membership or will not consider because of ACCA member?

They will. CAT has its own transcripts and certificate

Hello Sam,

Thank you so much. I was very worried about this. I have claimed the status of CAT membership by paying membership fees of CAT. Now ACCA has emailed me that they will send me within four to six weeks. Should I claim my equivalence based on CAT passed examinations certificate or CAT membership certificate? Will this have an effect on equivalence?

I have a similar case, Can you please confirm, If you have received separate evaluation for CAT certificate / Membership
 
Hello all,

I had my CAT status assessed and it was assessed as a 2 year diploma by WES!!! Received my evaluation earlier today. So now I can claim points for 2 or more! sweetttt!

Could you please guide how did you fill out out the WES form. I have CAT qualification as well and I intends to submit this as well.
