Hello,

I am a frequent user of this forum but posting my question for first time.

I just got my certificate of qualification (Information Technology - Contact Center Technical Support Agent / related to NOC Type B 2282 (user support technician).

I updated my online Express Entry profile but still don't see the points for Certificate of Qualification. Tried contacting CIC call centre and they told me to submit the webform and It takes about 10 business days for any response.

I have 2 years of full-time experience but no LMIA though

Does anyone has any word of advise regarding this? anyone been through this experience? should I withdraw my profile and create another one?

Please see my profile below:

You might wanna give it a few days to update. Those with PNP has similar issues with their 600 points not updating upon accepting nomination. So maybe if you don't see points by Monday, contact them again.

"Certificate of qualification (trade occupations) "

You do not work in a trade occupation (plumbing, electrician), and if you did, no work experience prior to obtaining the COQ would count...

You will not gain any points for your certification, but it is good extra evidence to provide for your proof of work experience.

I am in the same field of Experience, however I haven't got the certificate of Qualification yet. I want to apply for that. Do you know which documents I need to apply for the user support technician?. Any Luck to the Express Entry profile?
Thanks

CRS - Skill Transferability - Certificate of Qualification

Does my diploma in Software Engineering Technician qualify me to get these points? Or does my Advanced Food Safety Certification qualify me for these points since I got this because I am a supervisor at Tim Hortons for 3 years?

Please respond with your input?

No points, certificate of qualification is for trades like plumbers and electricians.

In Canada, provinces and territories

  • are in charge of education and training, including skilled trades apprenticeships
  • usually decide on the standards and conditions used to assess and recognize foreign credentials for certain trades
The regulatory body that governs trades in a province or territory

  • must assess your training, trade experience and skills
  • decides if you are eligible to write an exam to be certified
To get a certificate of qualification, you

  • will likely have to physically go to the specific province or territory to write the certification exam
  • may need an employer in Canada to give you training and work experience before you are allowed to write the exam
If your trade is not regulated by a province or territory (for example, airplane mechanic), it may be federally regulated. The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials provides information on credential assessment for all regulated trades in Canada.
